    CEO of Institute of People Management (IPM)

    Dr Jerry Gule is the CEO of the Institute of People Management (IPM), a position he assumed in November 2017, after a short stint as Interim CEO. He is one of the founding directors of Gule Executive Coaching (Pty) Limited, a company founded in 2016 and practices as an executive coach. Prior to establishing GEC he was GM of TOTAL Marketing Services Competency Centre (Pty) Limited, an internal consulting company of TOTAL Africa Middle East. At TOTAL South Africa (Pty) Limited, Dr Gule worked collaboratively with the HR team to craft and implement the transformation strategy of the company. He served for some time as GM: HR, Transformation and Procurement and helped the company to deliver on its transformation commitments as per the Petroleum and Liquid Fuels Charter.

    He is Chairperson of Love Trust, a charity offering best-in-class education to vulnerable children in the Tembisa. He is also a member of the HR & Remuneration Committee and a Non-Executive Director of the Aurum Institute. He was also Chairperson of the South African Employers for Disability (SAE4D) for over thirteen years, before vacating the role in August 2019.

He currently serves as Executive Director of the Southern African Communications Industries Association (SACIA), a SAQA-recognised professional body working in the communications and entertainment industry. Kevan has significant experience working in the Association sector across Africa and the Middle East with a specific focus on the development of standards, training and industry certification.

    He’s a strong believer in the need for cooperation and collaboration between Associations, asserting that individual Associations can better serve their membership by sharing resources, knowledge and effort.
