Datuk Dr Raj Abdul Karim has dedicated her lifetime to promoting health and well being of women, children and families and has been the prime mover of many policies and programmes that are in place today in a career spanning over 4 decades.

In her early years as a medical officer in the Ministry of Health, Dr Raj was entrusted to develop Malaysia’s maternal and child health services. Under her leadership in the 1970’s and 1980’s, the Maternal and Child Health Services of Malaysia expanded steadily with major interventions introduced resulting in declines in Malaysia’s maternal and infant mortality which gained international recognition. Subsequently, she was the Director of the Public Health Institute, Ministry of Health in 1989 and Director General of National Population and Family Development Board in 1992.

In October 1999, she was appointed the Regional Director of the International Planned Parenthood Federation, East and South East Asia & Oceania Region and during tenure of 10 years up to 2010; she supported 26 countries in the region on SRHR programs. In April 2002, Dr Raj was appointed by the King as a Commissioner to the National Human Rights Commission Malaysia (SUHAKAM). During her 8-year term up to 2010 she initiated work on protection of rights of women and children and on Human Trafficking, leading to the national legislation in 2007 and the formation of the Council on Anti Trafficking of Persons of which she was a member from 2008 -2015. She received the United Nations Malaysia Award in 2008 and was the moderator of ECPAT International Assembly from 2014 - 2016.

In December 2019 she received the Patron's award from the Malaysian AIDS Foundation for her work on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights and HIV and AIDS for women and children.

Today, she continues her contribution as President of the Malaysian Council of Child Welfare, Chair of End CSEC Network Malaysia (ECPAT Malaysia), Vice President of Federation Reproductive Health Associations Malaysia (FRHAM), 2nd Vice President International of Pan Pacific & Southeast Asia Women’s Association (PPSEAWA) and Chair of Malaysian Society of Association Executives (MSAE).

Charlie Villasenor is well known as a procurement and supply chain management icon in Asia and globally for his advancement of ethics, excellence and e-enablement in procurement and supply chain management. This brought him his affiliations and engagement at the Board and Advisory levels of organizations like the International Federation of Procurement & Supply Chain Management (IFPSM), UN/WTO (International Trade Center/ITC –SCM Program), and Universidad de los Andes (Bogota, Colombia) and some other Board functions in some corporations. He was the Founder, Chairman and CEO of PASIA – Procurement & Supply Institute of Asia and TransProcure, a leading global procurement and supply chain solutions and services company for over 18 years now. Charlie has been with 3M, Coca-Cola, Chevron holding leadership positions in supply chain functions in Asia, Middle East and Africa regions. Charlie set Asia’s B2B eProcurement & strategic in the 1990s when he was with Caltex and also as Regional Head of a publicly listed software company in 2000. He also had a short stint for a couple of years as Senior Vice-President of LBC a leading logistics and courier company in the Philippines. He has an MBA degree and PhD and certications in Supply Chain, Procurement & Logistics management. He is happily married with Janet Yater and has twin sons Juan Miguel and Juan Gabriel. A devoted father and covenanted member of ang Ligaya ng Panginoon.
