Gigi Bautista is a well-travelled and seasoned event organiser, seminar facilitator and former hotelier. Her tour of duty in the MICE industry took her around the region, working with deluxe hotels The
Conrad Hong Kong, Shangri-La's China World Hotel Beijing and Mandarin Oriental Manila.
Gigi's passion for organising events was inspired by epic state banquets, imperial and royal visits
and unforgettable incentive events that she personally handled. The unique experience sparked
a career shift which started with an internship program with Chicago-based events management
company Protocol International. She returned to Manila, convinced that the Philippines and the
region were ready for professionally-run events.
In 1997, together with husband and business partner Manny Bautista, Gigi's dream of opening
Manila's first full-service events management company was fulfilled. Now on its 21st year, GBA
Events Asia has developed a market niche and continues to serve an exclusive roster of clients
in the Philippines and the region.
Gigi studied at the University of the Philippines and Cornell University, Buffalo City, New York
and built an illustrious career in hospitality and now in events management.
