Nicanor Sabula has served as the Chief Executive Officer at Kenya Association of Travel Agents (KATA) since 2015 where he is credited for having transformed the Association into one of the most influential trade association in the travel industry in Africa. He currently also serves as the CEO and Secretary of the Association of Eastern and Southern Africa Travel Agents Associations (AESATA) which brings together national travel associations from 11 countries.
He holds a Masters of Arts (MA) Degree from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelors of Science (B.Sc.) from Egerton University. Mr. Sabula is an accomplished Association manager with almost 15 years’ experience managing projects, programs and administration functions in international not-for-profit organizations.
Most recently, he was appointed the Managing Director of the Africa Association Management Company, AFAMCO, Africa’s premier AMC, a role he will be assuming in January 2020.
Previously he has worked for the East Africa Association of Grantmakers (EAAG) as the Chief Executive Officer, the Association of Professional Societies in East Africa (APSEA) and the International Council of African Museums (AFRICOM) in different capacities.
Mr. Sabula holds various voluntary leadership positions in a number of non-governmental organizations across East Africa.

Over the course of her career, Daniella has focused on quality management systems for the health supply chain, as well as organizational regulatory compliance.
Armed with a strong passion for equitable health for all, Daniella is involved in policy recommendations and idea mobilization in the pharmaceutical sector, towards attainment of universal health coverage.
Dr. Elizabeth is a medical doctor and an MBA-Healthcare management graduate with over 6 years’ experience in clinical practice in both public and private sector, an all-rounder individual with experience in banking, healthcare management, clinical teaching and research.
Currently working as Chief Executive Officer at Kenya Medical Association whose championing welfare of doctors and quality health in Kenya, actively partnering with government and non-government actors to in health policy formulation and implementation.
She has years of experience in Kenya Medical Training college in a senior position training clinical officers in Kenya.
Serving as Honorary treasurer-Nairobi Division, convener-Young Doctors Network and member of the National Governing council in Kenya Medical Association, she has gathered experience in health policy and advocacy, financial management, strategy development, conference planning and human resource management.
She is a DAAD alumni 2016-2018 and Equity Leadership program alumni 2006-2013
Mercy Kyande is a consultant in private sector development, investment climate reform, public policy and advocacy. She advises organizations and associations on sound corporate governance, organizational strategy, capacity building and sustainability. She has over 15 years’ experience in the private sector mainly in starting up companies, departments or turning around organizations. She has turned around financial positions for companies and put up and organized effective structures. Seamlessly, she has led companies to achieve global standardization awards and expansions. As an association leader, she has contributed to signing local and international pacts that propagate the growth of businesses in the automotive industry, as well as linking training institutions to the market. She advises on regulatory reform, private public dialogue, private sector advocacy and ways to improve the enabling environment. She trains, mentors and supports business associations and others in building sustainable businesses and associations.
Mr. Jeffers Miruka is the President and Founder member of the African Society of Association Executives (AfSAE). AfSAE is a pan-African professional community of association executives formed in 2015 to serve as the professional society for those within the Association Management profession in Africa. Mr. Miruka is also the Executive Director of the African Association of Agricultural Economists (AAAE), a Nairobi based association of agricultural and development economists with over 3000 members spread globally. Mr. Miruka has over 14 years combined experience in association management and Business Events – meetings, conventions, exhibitions, incentives, corporate, associations, intergovernmental, nonprofits. He has a rich experience in association development, convention bureau setup, and is a frequent speaker and contributor to many global publications, media interviews and association forums.
Mr. Miruka is also the founder director of the very first, African association management company (AFAMCO), a joint venture with the Talley Management Group Inc. (USA). AFAMCO currently manages three African associations with more expected to board. Together with other industry players in Kenya, he helped establish the Kenyan Association of Business Events (KABE), a new association for Kenyan businesses industry engaged in Business Events.
With extensive travels around the world, he is well known internationally in the MICE Business events industry and undoubtedly recognized as a distinguished African associations ambassador and a leader of the associations movement in the continent. Mr. Miruka is a member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), among the many association memberships he holds. Jeffers has a Master of Science in Global Marketing and currently preparing for his Certified Association Executive (CAE) certification.
