APAC Chamber of Commerce Awards is back for its fourth year. The Awards are a great opportunity for Chambers of Commerce around the Asia Pacific to expand their networks, learn from one another, and to get the recognition for their excellence and innovation.
Awards are designed to honor individuals and Chambers who serve as leaders in their fields and make the greatest impact on their communities.

Who can apply for the awards?

There are multiple award categories to reflect the variety of Chambers of Commerce in the APAC region, each with a unique set of criteria. So, whether you are a small Chamber with no full-time staff, or a large Chamber with multiple chapters, there is an award to suit your profile.
Large Chamber of the Year Award recognizes Chambers of Commerce of the larger size that have achieved outstanding results. The Judging Committee will examine Chambers' activities, members acquisition, member retention, year on year growth, members engagement, chambers' value proposition and strategy, challenges the chamber had to overcome and the chambers' impact on their community

Small Chamber of the Year Award celebrates Chambers of Commerce of the smaller size that have achieved outstanding results. The Judging Committee will examine Chambers' activities, members acquisition, member retention, year on year growth, members engagement, chambers' value proposition and strategy, challenges the chamber had to overcome and the chambers' impact on their community

International Chamber of the Year Award celebrates international Chambers of Commerce that have achieved outstanding results. The Judging Committee will examine chambers' activities, member acquisition, member engagement, challenges the Chambers had to overcome and the chambers' impact on their countries' trade and local expat and business community.
Local Chamber of the Year Award celebrates local Chambers of Commerce that have achieved outstanding results, particularly focusing on their local communities and members progression. The Judging Committee will examine Chambers' activities, member acquisition, member engagement, challenges the Chambers had to overcome and the chambers' impact on their communities.
Rising Star of the Year Award recognizes the individuals aged 35 or under who have demonstrated excellence in their first 3 years of work at their Chamber of Commerce. The Judging Committee will examine areas of leadership, career progression and professional development, contribution to overall business success, relevant accolades and achievements, and personal attributes.
Executive of the Year Award recognizes the executives of Chambers who lead by example and help their Chambers grow, can drive innovation in their respective Chambers and the impact they are generating. The Judging Committee will examine areas of leadership, management organization, member retention, year on year growth, members engagement, Chambers' value proposition and strategy, community involvement, and personal attributes.
Excellence in Technology & Innovation Award recognizes the Chambers of Commerce that display innovative use of technology that clearly demonstrate next-level innovation and a breakthrough solution with significant market impact. Judged on the scope of innovation, impact on the Chamber's business processes, success of the change management and implementation process, demonstration of positive impact on the wider community, and evidence the technology has supported business objectives.
Best Virtual Event of the Year Award recognizes the event (or event series) with the most inspirational theme, speakers, and execution. Judged on the impact the event has had on its members, promotion strategies, event delivery & success and demonstration of positive impact on the wider community. Any professional Chamber event, no matter the topic, length, size or frequency can compete in this category where we will look for the most outstanding event of the year!
COVID-19 Hero Chamber Award recognizes recognizes the chamber that have swiftly reacted to the global pandemic and pivoted the way they operate to be a force for good (reacted on the pandemic in a way that has been essential to your survival and continuity). The Judging Committee will examine how your chamber reacted to COVID-19 pandemic, the story behind your actions, how you achieved what you did, and the impact of your actions on either your business or the community.
Best Community Engagement Program Award will be awarded to chamber with sustained effort to strengthen their links within their local communities with a demonstrated positive impact on their area. The programme should respond to a specific need in the community and should focus on the measures taken to engage with the community and all relevant stakeholders involved. Judged on the quantity, quality, impact and innovativeness of a firm's sustainability, community, diversity and inclusion, and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
What are the deadlines to apply?
Award applications are open until December 31, 2020 midnight (SGT). Make sure to submit the application before the deadline to be considered.
How much does it cost to apply for awards?
It is free to apply and besides getting the recognition in the Asia Pacific for your Chamber's accomplishments, you will also receive a certificate, branding assets, and advertising in return. We will be also sharing a series of content on the best Chamber practices in the APAC region with all the participants.
Can I apply for more than one award?
Yes, you can apply in multiple categories, there are no limitations and you can apply for multiple awards at once to save time. Apply here.
What is the purpose of the awards?
The purpose of the awards is to recognize and celebrate individuals and Chambers around the Asia Pacific, particularly those making significant contributions to the improvement of their communities. By showcasing the best practices among Chambers in the APAC region, we provide the best knowledge sharing so you can learn from one another. Even if you are unsuccessful with winning an award, do not be disappointed. Rather, look at this as an opportunity to improve and develop, a stepping stone to your success!
Who is going to judge?

How do I nominate for an award or how can I apply?
You can apply on behalf of your Chamber or remarkable leaders from the Chamber of Commerce you are affiliated with. Additionally, you are also welcome to self-nominate. Nominations are done by submitting online applications and confirmed via email. Once the applications have been submitted, we will notify you about the additional steps required (i.e. sending out copies of the annual report, or any additional material required if the application was incomplete or requires a verification).
