Siobhan Das
Executive Director of American Malaysian Chamber of CommerceSiobhan Das is the Executive Director of the American Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM). Assuming the position in January 2016, Siobhan has overseen the revitalization of the Chamber, making it one of the most active and effective AmChams in the region. She reached this achievement by strengthening the Chamber's presence from within, driving stronger engagement with its members and developing a powerful voice for its various business communities. By leading targeted, well designed, and sustained engagement with the membership and key stakeholders, including U.S. and Malaysian government officials, Siobhan has positioned the Chamber so that it can support and effect policy changes that benefit not only AMCHAM Members, but other companies-at-large, contributing to a more open and fair business climate in Malaysia while supporting Malaysia’s competitive position.
Siobhan returned to Malaysia after almost 12 years in China, five of which she served as Director of Committees (Industry) at the largest American Chamber of Commerce in the Asia Pacific - AmCham Shanghai. There she directed and shaped the role of 26 Committees filled with senior corporate executives, driving peer-to-peer learning, and best practice sharing allowing the Chamber to truly understand the business environment and leading the Chamber to advocate successfully on behalf of the U.S. business communities they represent, addressing issues impacting day-to-day business.
Prior to moving into the nonprofit sector, Siobhan spent more than 20 years in the film and television industry across Asia and the U.S., including owning her own production & corporate communications company in Kuala Lumpur. She holds two degrees from Boston University and, more recently, she was a Sloan Fellow at the London Business School where she earned her Masters in Leadership and Strategy.
Datuk Dr. Raj Abdul Karim
President at Malaysia Society of Association ExecutiveDatuk Dr Raj Abdul Karim has dedicated her lifetime to promoting health and well being of women, children and families and has been the prime mover of many policies and programmes that are in place today in a career spanning over 4 decades.
In her early years as a medical officer in the Ministry of Health, Dr Raj was entrusted to develop Malaysia’s maternal and child health services. Under her leadership in the 1970’s and 1980’s, the Maternal and Child Health Services of Malaysia expanded steadily with major interventions introduced resulting in declines in Malaysia’s maternal and infant mortality which gained international recognition. Subsequently, she was the Director of the Public Health Institute, Ministry of Health in 1989 and Director General of National Population and Family Development Board in 1992.
In October 1999, she was appointed the Regional Director of the International Planned Parenthood Federation, East and South East Asia & Oceania Region and during tenure of 10 years up to 2010; she supported 26 countries in the region on SRHR programs. In April 2002, Dr Raj was appointed by the King as a Commissioner to the National Human Rights Commission Malaysia (SUHAKAM). During her 8-year term up to 2010 she initiated work on protection of rights of women and children and on Human Trafficking, leading to the national legislation in 2007 and the formation of the Council on Anti Trafficking of Persons of which she was a member from 2008 -2015. She received the United Nations Malaysia Award in 2008 and was the moderator of ECPAT International Assembly from 2014 - 2016.
In December 2019 she received the Patron's award from the Malaysian AIDS Foundation for her work on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights and HIV and AIDS for women and children.
Today, she continues her contribution as President of the Malaysian Council of Child Welfare, Chair of End CSEC Network Malaysia (ECPAT Malaysia), Vice President of Federation Reproductive Health Associations Malaysia (FRHAM), 2nd Vice President International of Pan Pacific & Southeast Asia Women’s Association (PPSEAWA) and Chair of Malaysian Society of Association Executives (MSAE).
Jill Nanne
President at American Association of Malaysia (AAM)Jill Nanne has served as President of the American Association of Malaysia (AAM) since December 2017. Prior to being elected president she served on the AAM’s board as Events Director. Jill was instrumental in creating more sustainable charity giving between the AAM and the local charities they support by creating business and accountancy education classes for local refugee & fairtrade women and by making connections between local charities and companies who can offer specific support.
In 2012 - 2015, Jill served as Creative Lead for the Nokor Tep initiative in Singapore, a fundraising group that helped raise funds to build the first women’s gynecological & oncology hospital in Phnom Penh, Cambodia which opened their doors to patients in July of 2019.
Before moving to SE Asia with her husband as expats in 2010, Jill was a stay at home Mom from Des Moines, Iowa.

Roberto’s genuine passion and commitment to sustainability and his eagerness to act as catalyst in helping business in the transition to a sustainable world, have led him to take the role of Executive Director of the Business Council for Sustainable Development Malaysia, a Global Network Partner of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD).
Roberto led the EU-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EUMCCI) for almost four years and during his tenure the Chamber became one of the most influential organisations and advocacy platforms in Malaysia.
Roberto held several senior general management positions in the private sector, working fortune-500 companies and start-ups in countries such as Italy, UK, Spain.
Roberto holds an MBA from SDA Bocconi in Italy and an MA in Marketing from Lincoln University, UK.
Shaun Edward Cheah

qualification earned in Australia. He was formerly Asia-Pacific CEO of EXi Telecoms, CFO for Ericsson Malaysia and uMobile and COO for Century Software. A keen military historian and a technologist helping businesses in digital transformation.
Sunny Chee
General Manager at National Heart Association of MalaysiaSunny is the General Manager of the National Heart Association of Malaysia, a professional association for the cardiologists and healthcare professionals in cardiology. Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the NHAM, he is also secretariat for the regional cardiology organizations, the ASEAN Federation of Cardiology and the Asian-Pacific Society of Cardiology.
He has previously worked in the healthcare sector, as a pharmacist and in sales and marketing roles within the pharmaceutical industry.
Volunteering happens to be an extension of his day job, by being involved with the Malaysian Society of Association Executives(MySAE) as its current Secretary and serves as a committee member of MySTEMI Foundation, a charity which supports heart attack patients to undergo primary PCI treatment
Gabriela Kühn
Head of Programme at ECPAT InternationalGabriela Kühn is in charge of ECPAT International program strategy on child protection in travel and tourism, including The Code www.thecode.org. ECPAT is a network of civil society organisations committed to ending all forms of child sexual exploitation, it has currently 113 members in 98 countries.
Gabriela has over 12 years of experience working on children’s rights. Prior to joining ECPAT Secretariat in Bangkok, she was the programme manager at ECPAT member organization that provides direct psychological and legal help to children victims of trafficking and sexual exploitation in Poland.
Gabriela holds a Master’s Degree in Human Rights and Democratisation (E.MA), a post-graduate degree in International Co-operation and Development and a Master's degree in foreign languages.
Emer Ni Raghallaigh

She is a management and human resources professional with over 20 years’ experience. Prior to working with the chamber, she was on the management team of Friends First, a life assurance company in Ireland which was sold to Aviva in 2018. Previously she has held roles in business journalism, communication and international human resources.
Emer is from Dublin. She moved to South East Asia in 2019. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and the Malaysian Institute of Human Resources Management and has an MSc in Management from University College Dublin and is a qualified business coach.
She is married to Karim, who is French, and they have one son.
